We are pleased to remind that registration to the general public for the 12th International Forum on the electronic Apostille Programme (e-APP) is now open until September 10, 2021, 5.00 p.m. CEST. The e-APP Forum convenes experts and stakeholders from around the world to discuss the latest developments and best practices in relation to the e‑APP. If you are interested in participating, we suggest you to register here. Partecipation is free of charge.
The event will be hosted online on Monday 4 October 2021. It will be divided into four sessions, spanning time zones that are accessible across the world, from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. CEST. The working languages of the Forum will be English, French, and Spanish. A Draft Agenda for the Forum, including a breakdown of the four sessions, is available here.
The electronic Apostille Programme (e-APP) supports the continued operation of the Convention since 2006, facilitating the electronic issuance and verification of millions of Apostilles worldwide. The COVID-19 situation may have restricted cross-border mobility, but individuals, families, and companies still need to have their public documents authenticated for use abroad. In the last year, Brazil, Bulgaria, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and the United States of America have all implemented new components of the e-APP. This is testament to the success of the programme and the continuing relevance of the Apostille Convention. These developments are particularly significant given the work being conducted ahead of the 12th International Forum on the e-APP.
